Marble & Limestone

Marble and limestone are a calcium carbonate base and therefore require strict cleaning regime:

  • Clean up spills immediately

  • Only clean with soapy water or neutral pH cleaner, and dry after cleaning

  • Do not allow acids to in contact with surface

  • Re-seal regularly with a good quality natural stone sealer

Granite

Granite is predominantly composed of silica and therefore less permeable than marble or limestone. It is also less susceptible to chemical attack:

  • Clean with soapy water or neutral pH cleaner, and dry after cleaning

  • Re-seal light colours regularly with a good quality natural stone sealer
